Ace of Face

I'm Duke. I'm a 6 year old rescued basset hound who lives in St. Augustine, Florida. I like playing with my toys, eating electronics, destroying shoes, and FOOD.

Duke is Daisy’s hurdle.

Went through old photos tonight and found this picture of Duke’s late brother, Cooper. He was such a great pup.

Duke is to the covers as Simba & Mufasa were to the Pride Lands of Africa.

Looks like Duke beat Tropical Storm Beryl to making it rain.

So happy the human is home after being gone for 11 days…but sad she’s leaving again. Woof.

UPDATE: Tucker is home from the vet and is doing well. After hours of tests and lots of meds, he should be back to normal in no time. Thanks for all the well wishes and love. You guys are the best!

Duke’s brother, Tucker, isn’t doing well. My mom called me this morning and told me that she was up all night with him last night because he was howling in pain. His little tummy is severely swollen and red and he was feverish. He’s at the vet’s office now. PLEASE send good thoughts his way. He’s just a baby :(

jamestheinfinite asked: They are literally fat deposits and they aren't hurting or harming them. They will eventually get larger and then they will shrink to nothing. Both my bassets get them. Tucker has one that makes him look like a camel. You can get them removed, but it's not worth the money especially since they will continue to pop up forever. When you touch the deposit you can feel that it isn't attached to anything, if it were attached then it would be an issue.

Thanks!!!  Hope you had fun in Vegas!!! Are you back yet?

ATTENTION ALL BASSET OWNERS:

Do any of your bassets have hard lumps on their body? “Fatty tumors” as they’re sometimes called. Do they need to be removed? Are they harmful?

I just found one on Duke (or what I’m hoping is one and not something more serious) and I’m trying to decide if I need to take him to the vet or not.

Any information is GREATLY appreciated!!!
